It will get you in trouble every time! ?uestlove, the beloved drummer and band leader of The Roots recently put himself in the line of fire when he chose the wrong walk-on song to help introduce Michelle Bachmann on stage of the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon show. The Roots are the resident band that plays nightly on the show. Public Space Is NYC’s Theatre In New York, the fall brings a very different type of festival. It’s a celebration of the arts, but it’s not in the normal realm of where most artwork is admired. I discovered “AIOP – Art in Odd Places”, and it took me all around 14th Street and Union Square to find it. Why was it so hard you ask? Because it’s on the street amongst the everyday downtown environment. It’s about putting the abstract, the contemporary, the modern and the just plain unusual out in plain view to be reviewed by anyone and everyone.
